Eric J.S. Brown, 24, and Marcy J. Young, 46, both of 224 N. Detroit St., each was arrested Saturday after a 12:35 a.m. disturbance at the rental property.
Brown was charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer and single counts of criminial damaging, resisting arrest, persistent disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and illegal conveyance of drugs into a jail.
Young was charged with public intoxication and persistant disorderly conduct.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department arrived to find the two arguing at the top of a stairway. Both reeked of alcohol.
Brown became agitated and ran down the stairs, ignoring police orders to stop.
Officers caught up with him and he tried to charge the officer. He was forced against a wall and handcuffed and appeared to calm down.
However, he began banging his head into the wall and damaging it.
He spun around and again charged at the officer, kicking him before falling through a wall. He would not get up and resisted officers this time kick a second officer.
He violent resisted until his legs were secured and a spit mask was placed over his face. He repeatedly headbutted the interior of the police cruiser while en route to the Logan County Jail. There staff found a bag of marijuana while searching him.
Young was extremely intoxicated and was lodged in jail for her safety.
