The Bellefontaine Examiner is seeking a motivated individual to join our award-winning newsroom staff. The part time position offers competitive pay and flexibility to work from home. The ideal candidate must be able to cover various school board and city/village council meetings.  A working knowledge of computers and ability to use email a must. The position: The Police Chief position is a part time position, approximately 16 hours per week. The duties of the Police Chief are as follows:
€ Obey all written orders of the Village Council and the Safety Committee
€ Cause public peace to be preserved, and see that all laws and ordinances of the Village and State are enforced
€ Be solely responsible for the care and condition of the equipment used by the Police Department
€ Keep an accurate and complete record of all complaints, arrests, traffic violations, convictions, and dispositions of the department
€ Devote his/her entire on-duty time to official duties
€ Supervise subordinate officers

€ Formal police training
€ Valid and Current OPOTC certification
€ Business management experience, including, but not limited to, computer skills, budgeting, accounting, letter writing, marketing, and good management and people skills

Notice is hereby given that bids will be received at the office of the Logan County Commissioners, 117 E. Columbus Ave., Suite 100, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311, Thursday, April 23, 2020, 10:00 A.M., Ohio Standard Time for the purpose of furnishing LOG 2020 Sign Upgrade: PID#111045: various traffic signs, hardware, materials and posts.

Electronic bids shall be submitted at the Bid Express website. All electronic bidders must first register on the Bid Express website and create a Digital ID. Registration and Digital ID creation are free. It can take up to five business days to process your Digital ID and it is highly recommended that a Digital ID is enabled 48 hours in advance of submitting an electronic bid. Please plan accordingly.
