MAINTENANCE WORKER
WASTEWATER
DEPARTMENT

RATE OF PAY: $18.43 (Probationary)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform basic commercial electrical trouble-shooting and repair; maintains various components of the city's wastewater collection system; operates light and heavy motorized equipment to clean and repair sewer lines; adheres to all applicable safety standards and procedures. He/she checks system lift stations equipment and pumps for proper functioning; measures pump efficiency; documents and records readings in accordance with policy and procedures; replaces worn parts and performs other maintenance activities on system components. The Maintenance worker cleans and maintains vehicles and garage area and must have the ability to make confined spaces entries.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of secondary education (high school or GED); previous experience/training in the construction, maintenance, repair and/or inspection for sewer lines or equivalent. Must possess a valid State of Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air Brake and Tanker endorsements and remain insurable in accordance with the City's vehicle insurance policy.
