Freshman Samantha McLaughlin shot a program-record 34 to lead Bellefontaine’s girls golf team to a 170-183 win over visiting Minster on Tuesday at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
The match was played on the back nine at Liberty. In addition to the 34 of the freshman McLaughlin, the Chiefs received a 40 from Haley Watkins, a 47 from Emily McLaughlin, a 49 from Amy Fulmer, a 50 from Emily Fulmer and a 57 from Shelby Starkey.
In the junior varsity portion of the match, Bellefontaine’s Ari Hiatt shot 50, Megan Beaverson had a 59 and Enya Mitchell had a 63.
The Chiefs are back in action Thursday at Versailles.
