Beavercreek won the eight-team tournament for the fourth year in a row by shooting a 328. Mechanicsburg secured the runner-up spot with a 346, Marion Pleasant was third with 354 and the host Raiders were fourth with 359.
Newton took fifth with 366, Triad was one stroke back in sixth with 367, Graham was seventh with 389 and Indian Lake finished ninth with 434.
“As a team, we shot 29 strokes better than Friday (at the Central Buckeye Conference preseason tournament) so I’m pleased with that,” said Ben Logan head coach Chris Conley. “I know we are still wasting a lot of shots, especially around the green. We’ll be hitting that hard in practice.”
In addition to its team win, Beavercreek also had the tournament medalist in Alex Flick, who fired a low round of 76.
Will Kenoyer powered Ben Logan by finishing fifth overall with an 82.
Also for the Raiders, Garrett Allen carded an 88, Alex Naragon had a 94, Mitchell Fink recorded a 95, Collin Stewart posted a 117 and Drew Wasson added a 124.
Triad was paced by Caleb Young, who was sixth overall with an 83. Alec Ober was close behind with an 85.
Also for the Cardinals, Creighton Bradley shot a 98, Derek Bruce had a 101, Jacob Greve recorded a 105 and Hunter Talbot had a 113.
