G. Virginia Thompson, 95, formerly of Saint Paris, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in the Green Hills Community, West Liberty.
She was born on March 5, 1926 in West Liberty, a daughter of the late Marvin and Eathel (Dysert) Kiser.
Virginia married William B. Thompson on August 9, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1961.
She is survived by two daughters; Jean (John) Carson of MA and Marjorie Kite of Quincy, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, one brother, Wilbur Kiser of West Liberty, two sisters, Elizabeth Davis of Springfield and Marjorie Brown of Columbus and several extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Arthur Thompson, two brothers, Kenny & George Kiser and son-in-law, Chuck Kite preceded her in death.
Virginia was a 1944 graduate of Indianola High School. She retired from Kardon Industries, St Paris in 1989. Virginia was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, DeGraff, a member of diamond order of Eastern Star, St Paris Chapter 84 and the Urbana chapter #530 order of Easter Star.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 23, at noon in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio with Mike Idle officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery, State Route 560, Urbana, Ohio.
