The Logan County Vets to D.C. organization recently hosted a picnic to honor World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War era veterans at a local farm in Logan County. The event was hosted following the cancellation of this year’s annual trip to Washington, D.C., because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We wanted to recognize the veterans who would have been on this year’s trip and update them on plans for next year,” Vets to D.C. President Scott Stewart said. “We are currently planning our trip for September 2021 and look forward to next year’s trip.” Dinner was provided for all veterans and companions, along with the gifts for the veterans and door prizes.
