In the last two meetings, no more than three points has decided the outcome between West Liberty- Salem and Fairbanks on the football field.
The Tigers edged the Panthers 27-24 in 2017 and won another close battle over Fairbanks 38-35 last season.
WL-Salem head coach Dan McGill is expecting another tough fight from the Panthers when the two teams meet at 7 p.m. Friday at Fairbanks for an Ohio Heritage Conference North Division battle.
“I am sure that this game will be no different with respect to the competitive nature and close score,” said WL-Salem head coach Dan McGill. “They are a wellcoached team and they have talented players. They play a very aggressive brand of football on both sides of the ball.”
