A well-oiled machine is how first-year Triad head coach Zach Winslow described West Liberty- Salem’s offense this fall. So far, that would prove to be very accurate.
The 5-0 Tigers, who are ranked 12th in the latest Division V state poll, have outscored their first five opponents 265-28.
The Cardinals (2-3) will get an up close look at that explosive offense Friday when the two teams meet at WL-Salem for the start of Ohio Heritage Conference North Division play.
“They don’t hurt themselves with penalties or miscues,” said Winslow. “Our defense will need to make them uncomfortable. “If we can force them to pass and not be as balanced as they have been so far this year, that would help our defense out. Now, with all of that being said, it is a tall order and will be quite the challenge. No one else has been able to do it this year.”
