Authorities have buried 60 dead animals at a 4840 County Road 9, Rushsylvania, property and they continue to try to get the property owner to comply with an order to clean up two large open piles of solid waste.
The Logan County Health Board voted at the Wednesday meeting to authorize public money be spent to clean up the property owned by William R. Shoots, 73, who resides at 701 W. Columbus Ave. Mr. Shoots was injured and unable to care for the animals late last year.
