Quo Vadis McGinnis Clark, 88, of Bellefontaine, went home to be with the Lord at 12:32 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family in Columbus.
She was born on May 2, 1927, in North Lewisburg, to the late Ralph and Marie Whetsel McGinnis. She was a graduate of West High School, Columbus, and attended Ohio State University.
She worked at Westinghouse Electric Corporation for many years and retired from the State of Ohio. On Dec. 4, 2000, she married Neal Edward Clark of Bellefontaine.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Grace A.M.E. Church where she served faithfully, and she was a member of the Red Hats Club and the Senior Citizens Crochet Club of Bellefontaine.
She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Bobbi Jean Bethel-Moore; sisters, Joan Williams and Patricia Robles; brother, Ralph McGinnis; and son-in-law, James Lynn.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory three sons, Treston “Lujack” Moore of the Virgin Islands, Chuck (Leslie) Moore of Rialto, Calif., and Gil (Kathy) Wall of Aurora, Colo.; five daughters, Tandelaya (“Tawny”) Lynn, Patty Carter and Jodi Phillips of Columbus and Debbie Gorham and Cassie (Mike) Hassel, both of Bellefontaine; stepchildren, Deborah Stockton of Williamson, W.Va., and Jeff Clark and Monica Munger, both of Bellefontaine; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; six step-grandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; brothers- and sister-in-laws, Lester (Gloria Dean) Clark of Kenton, Roscelle Clark, Betty Rogan, Voncella Clark and Theresa Clark, all of Bellefontaine; and many dear friends.
Viewing is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, and one hour prior to the Homegoing service at 1 p.m. Monday, March 21, at the Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave., Bellefontaine, officiated by the Rev. JD Grigsby Jr. Interment follows at the Hathaway Cemetery, West Mansfield. After the interment, the family will receive family and friends at the Young’s Event and Entertainment Center.
