Danny L. LeVan, 71, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016.
He was born June 7, 1944. in Bellefontaine, a son of Lowell and Evabell Palmer LeVan. He also was preceded in death by his son, Donald Lowell LeVan, in 2003; and granddaughter, Courtney Rashel Schienda, in 2011.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Ann Alspaugh LeVan; sons, Daniel Ray (Roxann Williams) LeVan, Donald Scott (Tammy) Schneider and Dean (Pam) Schneider; two daughters, Shellie (Keith) Knupp and Holly (James) Schienda; grandchildren, Ashley LeVan, Derrik (Cedar) Schneider, Denay (Jeff Purtee) Schneider, Amanda (Colt) Crapnell, Christopher (Renay) Knupp, Benjamin (Brittney) Knupp, Dinah (Josh) Barker, Debra (Jasper Daniels) Schneider and Kierstin Schienda; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Les (Sandy) LeVan, Tim LeVan and Berry Henry; sisters, Theresa (Gene) Shaw, Rebecca (Terry) Huffman and Becky (James) Boss; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. LeVan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and owner and operator of Michael’s Pizza. He formerly worked at DAB.
He was member of the Bellefontaine Kiwanis. He enjoyed hunting, archery and riding motorcycles.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S U.S. Route 68, West Liberty. Pastor Jeff Willetts officiates a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1140 Rush Ave., Bellefontaine. Burial follows in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
