Lawrence “Linc” Allen Wilkinson, 72, of Kenton, OH formerly of Russells Point, OH, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay, OH.
Lawrence was born on October 20, 1951, in Sidney, OH, a son of the late Franklin M. Wilkinson, Sr., and Patty Rose Faulder Wilkinson Eleyet. He is also preceded in death by four siblings, Franklin M. Wilkinson, Jr., LaVerne Ann Wilkinson, Michael Anthony Wilkinson, and David Lynn Wilkinson.
Linc married Linda M Closser on December 2, 2002, and she survives. He is also survived by a sister, Katherine Jean (Edward) Kaluzne of Baltimore, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
Linc was a 1970 graduate of Indian Lake High School. Linc worked at Honda for 10 year and then moved to Texas, where he was part owner of a fishing campgrounds for a short term. Linc and Linda moved back to Indian Lake, and he went to work at Midwest Express for 25 years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman and spent many weekends in fishing tournaments. He enjoyed his vacations to Texas and Canada and playing cards with his fishing buddies. Linc was free-spirited, loved the outdoors, and had a heart for helping others.
Over the last several years, Linc suffered from Lewy Body Dementia, and it took its toll on his short-term memory. His wife, Linda, and his family give thanks to God for the loving person Linc was and the blessing of Linc as a husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, May 4, from 2-4 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview.
