A Springfield man was arrested on three warrants after a 2:55 a.m. Sunday traffic stop.
Jacquel J. Reed, 32, was lodged on Clark County warrants for having weapons under disability; carrying concealed weapons; and improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle.
He was issued traffic citations for no operator’s license, driving under suspension and failure to reinstate.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed Reed fail to properly stop for a stop sign on Park Street at Spring Avenue and on Spring at Ludlow Road prior to the stop.
• William T. Ginn, 22, of 521 Walker St., was arrested Friday on a Champaign County warrant for failure to appear. He was stopped while riding a bicycle without illumination on Main Street near Lake Avenue around 4:35 a.m.
Argument leads to arrest
Jorrell A. Johnson Jr., 18, of 68 Township Road 21, DeGraff, was charged Friday with assault.
Officers met with him and the victim, a 15-year-old girl, at the victim’s 547 E. Columbus Ave. residence. She had visible injuries as did Johnson.
Johnson allegedly pushed the victim down several flights of stairs during a 4 p.m. argument.
He was lodged in jail.
