Lois A. Cline, 95, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born in Helena, Mont., on Aug. 30, 1920, to the late James and Flora Taylor.
On June 1, 1947, she married Edward F. Cline Jr. and he preceded her in death March 17, 1998. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Linnabary.
She is survived by children, Edward (Pam) Cline of Huber Heights, Gene (Susan) Cline of Fairborn, Nora (Susan) Cline of Lakeville, Mass., and Mary Lucas, Carolyn Caskey and Karen (Bryan) Scott, all of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Cindy Cline of Tampa, Fla., Amy Mowry of Columbus, Ryan Lucas, Julie Lucas and Casey Scott, all of Bellefontaine, Nicole Grant of DeGraff, Joey Caskey of Kettering, Rebecca Linnabary and Ben Linnabary, both of Cincinnati and Conner Scott of Westerville; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Zoe, Oz and Milo.
Lois spent the majority of her life raising her seven children. She worked as a civilian employee of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and many years for the Logan County Fair Board. Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitch and crocheting, donating many afghans to the Bellefontaine Music Boosters, as well as family and friends. At the age of 95, she became a “techie,” and enjoyed FaceTiming with family.
The Rev. Gene Cline and Nora Cline officiate a funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, with one hour of visitation prior. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
