The 2016 mowing season started out with a strong growing season across the county, but a prolonged dry spell has reduced the need to mow for Bellefontaine’s Parks and Streets departments, opening the door for other work.
“It’s given us a little bit of budget flexibility,” said Parks Superintendent Kris Myers on Friday before the weekend rains.
“We’re getting some other things done rather than feeling it is so tight we can’t start a project.”
