Larry E. Fent, 84 of Bellefontaine passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Larry was born December 30, 1935 in Bellefontaine to the late Roy C. and Helen E. (Whitney) Fent. On July 10, 1959 at the Philadelphia Lutheran Church he married the love of life, his wife of 61 years, Beverly Kay Parmer.
Larry was a life member of the Philadelphia Lutheran Church. After high school he joined the US Army and served his country honorably as a paratrooper and mechanic. Upon his return home Larry went to work as a USPS Mail Carrier for 40 years. He was an avid Ohio State Football and Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed his family trips to the beach with over 58 yearly trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Larry was a handy man who could build or fix anything. He also enjoyed casino trips with family friends and tinkering in his workshop. Larry loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed attending all of their events. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend; he was known to help anyone in need. Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his wife, Beverly Kay Fent; daughters, Debbie (Jerry) Dillon of West Liberty and Shelly (Brett) Conway of Archbold, OH; grandchildren, Austin Dillon, Abby Dillon, Molly Conway and Mason Conway; brother, Billy Fent of Bellefontaine; many nieces and nephews; special loving friends, Dave and Crickett Vance; Roy and Shelley Moore.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jim (Sharron) Fent, Janet (Carl) Chambers; sister-in-law, Norma Fent.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
