June V. Alexander, 88, of Zanesfield, passed away at 8 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Leonardsburg on June 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Alfred H. and Nellie G. (Williamson) Powell. She was also preceded in death by two husbands and a sister.
She is survived by six children: Matthew (Peggy) Beck of Port Huron, Mich., Melissa Beck of Belle Center, Martin (Sandy) Beck of Bellefontaine, Stephanie (Mark) Manahan of Quincy, Shana (Christopher) DeWitt of Zanesfield, and Shane Alexander of Bellefontaine, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
June graduated from Ostrander High School, where she was valedictorian of her class. She worked in the banking industry before later working for Logan Acres Care Center, Bellefontaine, and did demonstration cooking for various places. She loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed traveling the world with her dear friend, Richard Morris, who preceded her in death.
