Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office received a stolen vehicle report Friday, May 3, regarding a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. Sylvia Inskeep reported that the vehicle is owned by William Fordyce of Marysville, who had been traveling out of state.
Inskeep reportedly had allowed Clary to use the vehicle and he had returned it, but he reportedly used the vehicle again without permission. She also was unable to get ahold of Clary.

Saturday morning, the vehicle again triggered Flock cameras about 8:40 a.m., this time in Bellefontaine.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed the vehicle in the area of Gunntown and Ludlow roads. However, when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver reportedly took off on County Road 29. Officers were able to stop the vehicle in the 6000 block of County Road 55.
The driver, Clary, was placed under arrest. He told deputies that the vehicle had been parked nearby a car wash in Bellefontaine, with words written on the windshield “Just Drive Me” and the keys inside the vehicle.
Officers transported the defendant to the Logan County Jail
