Benjamin Logan Elementary School eagerly anticipated the arrival of acclaimed author Tammi Sauer for a day filled with literary exploration and adventure Tuesday, May 14.
Tailoring her presentations to different age groups, Sauer promised a memorable experience for students from kindergarten to fourth-grade.
For the youngest learners, kindergartners and first-graders, Sauer embarked on an enchanting journey into the magical world of books, emphasizing how stories whisked readers away on thrilling adventures. Through interactive storytelling and lively discussions, young minds discovered the joy of imagination and the wonder of storytelling.
Second- and third-graders delved deeper into the creative process as the author explored the art of finding ideas, shaping them into captivating stories, and bringing those stories to life in the form of books. Through engaging activities and thought-provoking discussions, students unlocked their creativity and gained valuable insights into the world of storytelling.
Fourth-graders were in for a treat as the presenter unveiled her top 10 writing secrets, offering invaluable tips and techniques to help budding authors craft their own compelling stories. From generating ideas to refining storytelling skills, students learned the secrets to creating tales that captivate readers and spark imaginations.
“We were thrilled to welcome Tammi Sauer to Benjamin Logan Elementary School,” said Principal Colleen Bodin. “Her unique approach to storytelling and passion for inspiring young readers made her visit an enriching experience for our students.”
