Pet rescue provides shelters for feral cats

Many local feral cats throughout Logan County have a new warm place to take shelter from the cold after a busy day of work by volunteers of the Logan County Animal Haven pet rescue organization.
A small group of board members and volunteers on Saturday afternoon assembled 32 shelters made with plastic tubs with foam inserts, lined with straw and entry doors for cats to seek refuge during bitter colds spells or heavy snow.
Most of the supplies were donated by local businesses with $400 in cash contributions from individuals, board officers Cindy Himler and Jan Cooper reported.
