The Logan County Health District and the Union County Health District partner for a free STD and HIV testing event from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the LCHD office, 310 S. Main St., Bellefontaine.
No appointments are needed, and testing is for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis C and HIV. Medication also is available for both partners if needed.
The free testing day is being offered in light of the closing of the Logan County’s Sexual Health Clinic that operates out of a local medical provider’s office, the Marysville OB/GYN’s Bellefontaine location at 2527 S. U.S. Route 68, Suite 1. That clinic losing its grant funding and March 30 will be the last day for seeing clients at that location.
