Fred P. Born, 94, of Belle Center, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 5, 2018, at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Fred was born in Hardin County on June 4, 1924, to the late Jacob and Cora Burkhalter Born. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Howard Born, Pauline Born, Dorothy Armstrong, Margaret Born and Warren Born.
Fred is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Genevie M. Linson Born; their children, Debra Born of Bowling Green, Stan Born, Dave Born, Teena (Bryan) Jakeway and Clark Born, all of Belle Center, Lynn (Ron) Chambers of Bradenton, Fla., Dean (Jennifer) Born of Cincinnati and Roger (Maria) Born of Kenton; 13 grandchildren; and many greatgrandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A lifelong farmer, Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center, where Pastor Kris Langstaff officiates a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
