David Darrell Henson, 74, of Lewistown, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at his home.
He was born in Powell, Ohio on August 12, 1947 to the late Donald Henson and Betty (Smith) Ewing. He is also preceded in death by his step-father, Donald Ewing, a sister, Rebecca “Becky” Hurlbutt, and a nephew, Matthew Driscol.
He is survived by daughters: Jamie Paul of Piqua and Abbey King of Urbana; a son: Billy King of St. Paris; grandchildren: Sarah, Becky, Elizabeth, Erin, Maddison, Mckenzie, Logan, Brevan, Brady and Lexi; great-grandchildren: Isabella and Autumn Arzola, Zoey Morton, James and Jamison Paul, Madison Allen, and Jenson Hammons; his favorite niece: Maggie Monroe; his life-long friend of 17+ years: Laurie King; his roommate: John Follrod and many many friends, including his Amish friends.
Dave was a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Bellefontaine. Growing up he loved to play softball, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, and his dog Cledius.
Blake Kenner will officiate a memorial service at 4 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N Main Street, Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery at a later date.
