From the same incident, her husband, Kevin E. Wray, 48, was charged with public intoxication.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched just after midnight to the area of county roads 43 and 18 on a report of an intoxicated man in the ditch.
Deputies talked with the man, identified as Mr. Wray, and he said he and his wife had been out canoeing that evening and then had stopped for drinks. On their way home, Mr. Wray said the couple began to argue and he said he was attempting to walk home and stopped in the ditch to rest because he was tired after walking several miles.
While deputies were speaking with him, a sport utility vehicle operated by Mrs. Wray drove up to the scene and she spoke with deputies, who observed that she displayed signs of intoxication. She admitted to drinking that evening and submitted to field sobriety tests.
As deputies were administering the tests to Mrs. Wray, they observed that Mr. Wray was urinating on a mailbox. Both he and his wife were placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail. Mrs. Wray submitted to a breath test, with two results of 0.214.
