Ben Logan blanks Urbana
Benjamin Logan’s boys soccer team picked up a key Central Buckeye Conference victory with a 2-0 win over Urbana on Monday.
Ben Logan is now 4-2-1 overall and the Raiders stay atop the Mad River division with a 2-0-1 record.
The Raiders had to play 76 minutes of the game with only 10 players because of an early red card.
“It was a great win tonight when all the cards were stacked against us,” said Ben Logan head coach Jamie Hughes. “Playing down a guy for that long really put us in a pickle but that early goal went a long way and our defense played outstanding.
“Caleb Epp was all over the field and had his hand in both goals and really stepped up and showed his leadership. I am super proud of the way our kids played the last 76 minutes and a huge threepoints to keep us on top in league play.”
Epp scored one minute into the game on an assist by Tyler Cabot to put the Raiders on top 1-0.
Josh Tipton added an insurance goal with 15 minutes left on an assist by Epp.
Ben Logan plays at Jackson Center on Thursday.
