Bus Driver Appreciation Day was celebrated Monday, May 6, across Ohio.
Bellefontaine City Schools is proud of the work the district’s drivers do each day.
Tammie Garman is the transportation supervisor at Bellefontaine City Schools. She and her staff safely drive students to and from Bellefontaine Elementary School, Bellefontaine Intermediate School, Bellefontaine Middle School and Bellefontaine High School.
Full-time BCS drivers: Penny Smith, Kim Cruea, Tracy Cline, Paula McCafferty, Heather Webb, Bob Hill, Jen Lynch, Joyce Barthauer, Kaitlyn Welch, Jill Nevers, Kim Taylor and Joyce Fogan
Sub bus drivers include: Randy Schoeck, Valerie Chamberlain and Glenna Yelton.
Van drivers are Aimee Costello, Tim Garman, Jim Peyton, Deb Whitsett and Marci Diodati.
Bus aides Tina Norton and Eva Skaggs.
“Here at BCS we would like to recognize our school bus drivers for safely transporting our most precious cargo – our little Chieftains and our future leaders – and for always going that extra mile,” Garman said. “We have the best.
“Our drivers always brave whatever the weather is to get our kids safely where they need to be while being a shining example as they do it.
“Being a school bus driver is not just a job; it’s an adventure. Please take time to let a driver know how important they are and how much they are appreciated.”
