West Liberty-Salem’s volleyball team made quick work of visiting Cedarville with a three-set win 25-20, 25-14, 25-18 on Tuesday during Ohio Heritage Conference play.
The win moves the Tigers to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the OHC North standings. The Indians drop to 4-5, 4-3.
Gabby Williams sparked WL-Salem with 10 kills, 21 assists, 13 digs and was 6-9 serving, Michele Smith tallied 10 kills, one ace, 12 digs, one block and was 13-13 on serves received, Leah Ropp recorded three kills, one aces, four digs and was 17-18 serving,
Bailey Poppe had nine kills, three aces, 10 digs and was 12-13 serving, Naomi McGill had three digs, one ace, was 11-11 serving and was perfect on serve receive and Ally Garver added 27 digs, was 17-18 serve receive and 9-10 serving with one ace.
In junior varsity action, WL-Salem beat Cedarville 25-19, 24-26, 25-20.
Lexy Lee led the Tigers with eight kills, two aces, 12 digs and was 16-16 serving, Bella Meister had six kills, three aces, five digs, 18 assists, was 64-65 setting and 20-21 serving, Mallory Bostick tallied four kills, one ace, two digs and was 7-9 serving, Makenna Smith had two aces, 13 digs and was 13-13 serving and Whitney Strapp added four digs, three assists and was 9-10 serving.
WL-Salem travels to Southeastern on Thursday for its next OHC contest.
