Riverside pulled out a five-set win over Houston on Monday.
The Pirates won by scores of 25-16, 25-27, 16-25, 26-24, 15-13.They are now 8-1 on the season.
Jenna Woods recorded 19 kills, six blocks and 11 digs and Lauryn Sanford notched 13 kills, 22 assists and 15 digs to fuel the Riverside win.
Also for the Pirates, Allison Knight had 26 digs, Jade Copas tallied eight kills and 10 digs, Olivia Perk had six kills, five digs and four blocks, Alaina Snow had six kills and five digs, Hailee Harshbarger tallied 10 digs and Sierra Snow had 14 digs and 14 kills.
In the junior varsity match, Houston won 25-18, 11-25, 25-19. For the Pirates, Grace Brownlee was perfect serving with three aces and led the team in passing.
Riverside is back in action tonight at home against Arcanum.
Botkins zaps Indian Lake
Botkins shook off Indian Lake 25-22, 25-11, 22-25, 25-15 in a non-league volleyball match Monday night.
The Lakers are now 2-7 on the season.
Gracie Taylor and Allison Kinney each tallied seven kills to spark the Lakers. Allix Cotterman added 24 digs.
In the junior varsity match, Indian Lake won 26-24, 25-12. For IL, Megan Kimbler was 11-11 hitting with five kills and had 10 digs, Kayla Schwaderer was 5-5 on serves received and Katie Roby had four aces and nine assists.
Indian Lake is back in action tonight at Graham.
