Another gets local jail for theft from dealership
A woman who led authorities on a moderate speed chase across Logan County was among five defendants to enter pleas Monday in Logan County Common Pleas Court. Four others, including a woman who stole $9,400 from a local auto dealership, were sentenced during the hearings.
Haley Mickey, 26, of Columbus, entered a guilty plea to a fourth-degree felony count of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.
She was arrested after a Sept. 17, 2015, incident in which officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department attempted to stop her after she was involved in a fight in the city in which she reportedly attacked another woman with a pipe.
Officers first tried to stop her vehicle in the 100 block of east Sandusky Avenue, but she continued at a reasonable speed, but would not stop, Assistant Logan County Prosecutor Sarah Warren said. She continued out of the city and proceeded eastbound on U.S. Route 33. Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol deployed spikes near State Route 347 to stop the eastbound vehicle.
