Maria R. Thomas, 55, of 1014 Alpine Valley Road, Zanesfield, was charged with criminal endangering and disorderly conduct related to an incident about 5 p.m. Friday in the area of her residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to that area in reference to a woman in the roadway causing a disturbance.
En route to the call, deputies were informed by a motorist that a woman reportedly had stepped in front of his moving vehicle, and when he attempted to drive around her, she allegedly smacked the back window of his vehicle.
He said she then yelled accusations at him about being a “drug runner.”
Deputies then spoke with Thomas, who showed signs of intoxication. She told deputies that she was “tired of the drug issue in the area” and admitted to stopping vehicles that were not from this area because she believed they were “coming here to buy or sell drugs.”
Thomas was placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
