West Liberty-Salem’s softball team had its offense operating in full force Saturday as it swept host Bellefontaine in a pair of non-league games at Blue Jacket Park.

The Tigers rolled 13-2 in five innings in the first game and then won 17-7 in five innings in the second game.
The Tigers boost their record to 7-1 overall, while the Chiefs fall to 0-4.
“We need to keep working on the fundamentals of the game,” said BHS head coach Katie Buffkin. “We are continuing to get better each game that we play.”
Kiana Reames powered WL-Salem’s offense in the first game by going 3-4 with a home run, a double and four RBI. Grace Woodruff went 3-4 with a double and an RBI, Dierdre McGill went 3-4 with a triple and an RBI and Emily Schultz went 3-3.
Tyanna Seibert recorded the win in the pitching circle for the Tigers.
