West Liberty-Salem’s Hunter Stewart has gradually improved his play on the gridiron during the course of his prep football career.
Through hard work, dedication and perseverance, the senior lineman is now headed to the next level and set to play football at Marietta College, an NCAA Division III program.
“Hunter has been a testament to perseverance and growth,” said WL-Salem head coach Dan McGill. “He has grown both on and off the field more than any player I’ve coached. When Hunter was a young player I wasn’t so sure that he’d make it through high school football, let alone go on to play college ball.
“I’m very proud of how he has matured and developed. It is truly one of the most rewarding aspects of coaching.”
