West Liberty-Salem’s boys basketball team made easy work of host Southeastern Friday for a 56-19 Ohio Heritage Conference win.
The Tigers improve their record to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the OHC standings, while the Trojans are now 1-10, 1-8.
WL-Salem grabbed a 17-8 lead to end the first quarter. The Tigers outscored the Trojans 11-2 in the second quarter to enter halftime on top 28-10.
The second half saw WL-Salem stay in control. The Tigers pushed their lead to 23 points (38-15) after three quarters.
WL-Salem closed out the game with an 18-4 run.
Nick Burden spearheaded the Tigers with 20 points, Logan Saylor tallied 16 points, Tanner LeVan had eight points and Owen Johnson added seven points.
In junior varsity action, WL-Salem dropped Southeastern 38-15. Andrew Kimball led the Tigers with 11 points and Matt Jones had nine points.
WL-Salem hosts Cedarville on Friday for another OHC contest.
