Thelma L. “Bonnie” Orsborne, 82, of DeGraff, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.
She was born in Logan County on March 28, 1936, to the late Carl Milton and Gertrude H. Eiler Easton.
On Jan. 10, 1958, Bonnie married Virgil Ray Orsborne in DeGraff and he preceded her in death Nov. 27, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn McClintick; three sisters, Carolyn Thornton, Donna “June” Harbour and Evelyn Blackstone; and four brothers, Stanley Easton, Henry Easton, Edwin Easton, and an infant brother, Carl William Easton.
Bonnie is survived by her three children, Tony (Deb) Orsborne of Pemberton, Lorna (Jeff) Roby of North Carolina and LaVonne (Jim) Notestine of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Brad (Brittany) McClintick of Logansville, Daric (Shannon) McClintick of West Liberty, Luke (Kathy) Roby of Marysville, Neil (Alysha) Orsborne of Sidney, Jason (April) Orsborne of Sidney, Matt Notestine of DeGraff, Corey Notestine of Quincy, and Morgan (Seth) Barnes of Huntsville; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Harold) Kies of Sidney; two brothers, Elmer (Ann) Easton and John Easton, both of DeGraff; a special companion, Harry Sprague; and several nieces and nephews.
A member of Stony Creek Church of the Brethren, Bonnie worked at Copeland in Sidney and CTS in West Liberty.
She also volunteered at McAuley Center in Urbana. Bonnie loved going to yard sales, singing in the choir, baking and most especially spending time with her family.
A funeral service begins at noon Tuesday, May 8, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes St., DeGraff, where visitation begins at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
