A parolee was arrested Tuesday afternoon on warrants obtained as part of a Logan County Joint Drug Task Force investigation.
James E.T. Shifferly, 34, of 109 W. High Ave., was taken into custody in the 300 block of south Detroit Street in a 5 p.m. coordinated traffic stop with officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.
He was served three warrants for trafficking in crack cocaine and charged with possession of crack cocaine.
Task force detectives seized $849 in cash, his cellular phone and the vehicle he was driving.
A search warrant was served on his residence. Detectives and officers found crack cocaine, scales for weighing drugs, drug packaging material, marijuana and cash.
Shifferly is currently on parole in Franklin County, his last registered residence with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. He was convicted in 2004 for attempted murder and robbery out of Richland County.
