Douglas R. Boggs, 34, address at large, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Sunday evening and also was issued a felony probation violation warrant.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office received a report about 8:20 p.m. from his father, Jess W. Boggs, 3261 E. State Route 47, Bellefontaine. He said he had arrived home Friday evening and found that his 1995 GMC Sonoma pickup was missing from his residence.
Jess reported that he searched the Indian Lake area for his pickup over the weekend, and was unable to locate it. He suspected that his son had taken the vehicle.
Another deputy recalled observing the pickup Saturday at 8988 King Ave., Turkeyfoot, Lakeview. Deputies went to the address, and the vehicle was still there. The defendant also was located at that address, and he was transported to the Logan County Jail.
