Michelle Connell, 45, of Fayetteville, N.C., was charged with disorderly conduct related to an incident Tuesday evening along U.S. Route 33.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched about 5:20 p.m. to U.S. 33 and the Auglaize County line in reference to a passenger throwing objects from a semi tractor-trailer.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop with the semi in the area of U.S. 33 and Stephenson Street in Lakeview.
While speaking with the driver, Damion Reddick of North Carolina, deputies observed that he had a white substance on the right side of his face. Deputies later learned that the passenger, Connell, had thrown conditioner on him because he wouldn’t lend her any money. He said Connell is his former fiancé.
He also said Connell had thrown items from the vehicle while he was driving.
While deputies were speaking with the defendant, they noted that she began yelling at Reddick and would not comply with commands to stop yelling at him. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail.

John A. McCafferty, 71, of Huntsville, and Jeffrey A. Yost, 37, of Zanesfield, each were checked on the scene of a crash Tuesday by Huntsville EMS for possible injuries, but were not transported from the scene.
Deputies report McCafferty was operating a westbound sport utility vehicle about 8:10 a.m. on U.S. 33 and was slowing to turn east onto County Road 57. His vehicle was struck from behind by a westbound car operated by Yost.
Yost was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene, and the drivers were wearing their seat belts.
