Delbert K. Day, 33, of 12046 Shannon Drive, Apt. 59, Lakeview, was taken into custody Tuesday after his estranged wife, Sara, filed a protection order complaint with officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.
An officer met with her at 10:55 p.m. at her city residence and she explained that Day had called her an estimated 20 times that day in violation of a civil protection order.
He was using a blocked number, the victim explained, but she answered the calls four times and recognized his voice. Her phone rang several times as she was meeting with the officer and she answered it in his presence.
She called Day by his name and he responded to it without denying it was his name. When the victim asked who was calling, the officer heard him say, “It’s your husband.”
The officer took a screen shot of the repeated calls and contacted deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Day.
He was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

She provide officers with copies of letters, checks, the debit card and other documents. She also is taking steps to resolve her identity theft issues.
