Robert J. Walker, 67, of Rushsylvania, passed away Friday morning, July 6, 2018, at his home.
He was born in Bellefontaine on March 11, 1951, to the late Dewey Carl and Emma I. Johnson Walker. Bobby was also preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Ann Miller, and several siblings including, Sue and Becky.
A 1969 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. Bobby was considered a “jack of all trades but master of none.” Over the years, he worked on the railroad, was a bartender, cable installer, gas station attendant, census taker and job coach. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. Bobby always loved to fish, play pool and spend time with his family. He enjoyed going to the kids’ sports activities, playing video games and watching movies. He raised many dogs and especially loved Zeus and Buster.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jana Titus Walker; his daughter, Brandi Walker of Bellefontaine; stepson, Scott (Vikki) Beaty of Palm Bay, Fla.; sons, Clinton (Andrea) Walker of Bellefontaine, and James Walker of Rushsylvania; four grandchildren, Cody Walker, Sabreena Warren and Jaxon and Fenix Walker; a great-grandson, Liam Warren; and a brother-in-law Dale R. Miller of West Liberty.
Bobby also enjoyed being a part of a large extended family on the Titus side.
The family will receive friends on from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. Inurnment, with military honors, will be in the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
