Robert Eugene Riker, 88, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 16, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital, Columbus.
Robert was born in Findlay on May 6, 1928, to the late Ada Otto and Helen Irene Wilcox Riker. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Riker.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Robert enjoyed fishing. He was an ordained minister and enjoyed preaching. His has served previously at Grace Bible Church and The Bee Hive Church. Robert was currently attending Bellefontaine First Church of God. He was very proud of his efforts to help kids, often through adoption, get their lives back on track.
Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Sprinkle Riker, whom he married Sept. 15, 1990, in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by daughters, Anna (Devin) LaFollette of West Liberty, Sarah (Donnie Raymond) Stewart and Denise Glasgow, both of Bellefontaine and Shelly (Mike) Schroeder of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Donnie Riker and Jay Riker, both of Findlay; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Robert’s life is at a later date. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.
