Robert Charles “Bob” Ritter Jr., 82, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine. He was born in Middletown on June 21, 1934, to the late Robert Charles Sr. and Evelyn Irene Shape Ritter.
Bob graduated from Lemon-Monroe High School where he played basketball and football. He served two years in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958, where he was trained as an operating room technician.
South Carolina is where Bob spent much of his adult life, in a career in pharmaceutical supply sales. He enjoyed boating and dancing, music and having fun. After moving to the Bellefontaine area 18 years ago, Bob worked several years at the YMCA before retiring and developing his hobby of growing, decorating and selling gourds. He was an active member of the Bellefontaine First United Methodist Church and devoted himself to studying the Bible daily.
Per Bob’s wishes, there are no services and a private burial will be in Woodside Cemetery in Middletown.
