KEEGAN McKEE |
A Ridgemont High School senior died this morning as a result of a one-car crash Thursday evening, according to Kenton-Times reports.
Keegan McKee, 17, was pronounced dead at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office reports Keegan was driving a southbound vehicle on State Route 292 near Township Road 206 south of Kenton about 9:50 p.m. She reportedly lost control of her car and drove off the west side of the roadway.
The vehicle struck several tree stumps, which caused it to roll multiple times, deputies said.
The driver, who was wearing her seat belt, was ejected from the car and sustained severe injuries. She was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to the Lima hospital.
Ridgemont Schools students were on a two-hour delay this morning. Counselors were being made available for students and staff.
