OVI charge filed
Cameron N. Dyer, 54, of 820 Cretcher St., DeGraff, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to a traffic stop about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies on patrol in the area of county roads 18 and 200 observed that his vehicle did not have a license plate light and also noticed that the defendant made several marked lane violations.
A traffic stop was initiated on County Road 43 at Township Road 198, and deputies observed the driver, Dyer, throw a clear liquid out of a vehicle window. When questioned by deputies about throwing out the liquid, he claimed it was water, but handed them a cup, which later tested positive for alcohol.
Signs of intoxication were observed, and Dyer refused to submit to field sobriety tests.
At the Logan County Jail, he also refused to take a blood alcohol content test.
Dyer also received a marked lanes citation.
