Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 1:30 a.m. today to the parking lot of Honda of America Mfg. at East Liberty, 1100 State Route 347, East Liberty, on a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.
Deputies report Paul S. Alleman, 47, of Marysville, was crossing the parking lot and was struck by a car operated by Patricia A. Penix, 53, of Richwood.
Alleman did not report any injuries, and no damage was reported to the vehicle. No citations were filed related to the accident.
Quincy business vandalized
Deputies responded about 3 a.m. Saturday to the Quincy Handymart, 105 Carlisle St., on a report of a front door that had been shattered.
While deputies observed the damage to the door of the business, it did not appear that entry had been made to the store. A set of vehicle keys were also located near the gas pumps at the business.
Upon reviewing store surveillance footage with the business owner, a male suspect can be observed kicking at the door about 11:30 p.m. Friday. He then runs into the parking lot and out of view of the camera. Further investigation is needed.
