Patricia Ann Longbrake Clay, 83, of Santa Fe, Ohio, passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
Born on Aug. 5, 1933, in Stokes Township to the late Daniel H. Jr. and Evelyn C. Cummins Oakley, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Longbrake, in December 1993. On June 30,1994, she married Richard Clay and he preceded her in death in December 2015. She was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Longbrake, and two brothers, Joe Oakley and Jack Oakley.
She is survived by three children, Larry (Dorothy) Longbrake of Huntsville, Carol (William) Dabe of Bellefontaine and Chris (Terry) Lykins of Santa Fe, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Rose Mary Shroyer, Ellen Oakley of Santa Fe and Kay Oakley of New Knoxville.
Patricia formerly worked at Holloway Sportswear, Gem Sportswear and also for Indian Lake Manor. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, tending to her flower garden, caring for her pet birds and cooking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A funeral service begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 20, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, where visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Patricia’s name to a hospice of the donor’s choice.
