Charity Cutlip, 19, and Patrick Schneider, 18, both of 60 County Road 111, Bellefontaine, each was issued a summons for criminal trespassing Wednesday following an incident at a residence on Township Road 55.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 1:30 p.m. to 5601 T.R. 55, Bellefontaine, to speak with residents Ray and Linda Downing about a trespassing complaint.
Mrs. Downing said she had observed a vehicle pull into her driveway that day and saw Ms. Cutlip sitting in the vehicle. She also reportedly observed Mr. Schneider carrying automotive parts and walking back to the vehicle.
She said she confronted Mr. Schneider, telling him that her husband had spoken to him previously about not coming on their property. Mr. Schneider reportedly denied her claims and proceeded to load the items into the vehicle.
When Mr. Downing came home a short time later, the pair had left the residence. He said a car bumper and floor jack were missing.
Deputies followed up with the incident at the C.R. 111 address, and the defendants confirmed that they had been at the Downing residence earlier that day. Mr. Schneider said he was picking up automotive parts that belonged to him. They were issued the summonses.
