Along with routine business matters, Lakeview Village Council accepted the lone bid on its upcoming drainage project during its regular meeting Monday.
Village Administrator Pat Parish said the sole bid was from Reichert Excavating for $246,518.70. A project start date is yet to be announced.
Deputy Donnie Day from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department reported towing an abandoned truck/trailer and said drug activity, domestic violence calls and consumption of liquor was on the rise in the area.
The fiscal officer reported the village brought in more than $22,500 for the new fire station through the half-percent income tax so far.
Because of the July 4th holiday, the next meeting is at 7:30 p.m. July 5.
