The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Board of Education said Superintendent Dr. Rick Smith is exceeding expectations during a regular meeting Wednesday.
Officials said in his first year, Dr. Smith has “worked to understand the area, the communities that Ohio Hi-Point serves, and most importantly the students.
“Dr. Smith has completed an extensive assessment, created a vision, and set a strategic plan of how to move OHP forward.”
The board also hired a Brad Richardson as the new career technical supervisor at the high school. Mr. Richardson was a Dublin-Jerome Business Academy instructor for Tolles Career and Technical Center.
Also hired were Kara Ramsey, satellite instructor for the Allied Health and Nursing program at Marysville High School; and Ohio Hi-Point graduate Robert Alig as an Auto Diesel instructor.
The next meeting is at 7 p.m. Aug. 24.
