A Bellefontaine man, who willfully crashed his girlfriend’s pickup truck, faces multiple charges, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report.
Timothy Reisinger, 28, of 417 Walker St., was extracted from the pickup by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS Department personnel after the 6:30 p.m. Wednesday crash in a creek bed just north of his residence.
Witnesses told officers he was traveling more than 60 mph northbound on the street and deliberately drove Haley Fox’s vehicle into the tree- and brush-lined creek bed.
He was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and he reportedly became combative and uncooperative. Medical staff eventually brought him under control.
Officers report he had been drinking heavily and got into an argument with Fox. Reisinger admitted he was trying to kill himself.
Pending charges could include operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, reckless operation and criminal damaging.
