Mary Alice Dyer, 88, of Belle Center, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Sunday March 26, 2017, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Sept. 11, 1928, in Mt. Victory, a daughter of the late John and Olga Marie Phelps Friermood. On Feb. 26, 1950, she married Russell A. Dyer and he passed away Feb. 1, 2005.
Survivors include her children Doug (Jennifer) Dyer and Tamara (Jerry) Allford, both of Belle Center; grandchildren Andrew Dyer, Sarah Dyer and Allissa (Rusty) Bingham; and great-grandson Kaveran Bingham. She also was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Dyer; brother, George Friermood; and sister Blanche Fillinger.
She was a graduate of the Mt. Victory High School Class of 1946. Mary Alice was a homemaker and worked on the family farm with her husband. She enjoyed spending time at the Hardin County Council on Aging later in life.
Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in the Norman Cemetery with Pastor Dave Dooley officiating. There is no visitation.
